This magnificent Bull’s Head is a characteristic example of Minoan art.
The Minoans and Myceneans seemed to have worshiped a religion centered around the bull. The original, which was found in one of the graves below the site of the palace of Agamemnon, is made of silver with horns of gold.
Dated to the 16th century BC, National Archaelogical Museum, Athens.
