Ancient Greek helmet from Olympia, dated between 620-580 BC.
Located in the western Peloponnese, Olympia was an ancient Greek sanctuary site dedicated to the worship of Zeus, in whose honour Pan-Hellenic Games (later known as Olympic) were held every four years from 776 BCE to 393 AD.
This is a reproduction of an original helmet in the Olympia Museum depicting a bulleted helmet around the eyes, nose and its contour, without crest.
Handmade in Greece of solid bronze.
