Roman Galley – Handmade

Handmade reproduction of a Roman Galley from the time of the Battle of Actium, in 31 BC.

Galleys were rowing warships used by the Romans. They remained the dominant types of vessels used for war and piracy in the Mediterranean Sea until the last decades of the 16th century. As warships, galleys carried various types of weapons throughout their long existence, including rams and catapults, but also relied on their large crews to overpower enemy vessels in boarding actions

A fine example of the ultimate Roman fighting ship, handmade to the last finest detail, fully waterproof and functional.
